Villa Palmera was constructed with a modern tropical Zen design. 2 lots were combined to provide a north-facing orientation, a long gentle driveway, and a single-level floor-plan. The villa's 200' elevation provides spectacular views and natural cross breezes for an open and airy feel. The goal was to construct a secluded oasis surrounded by tropical jungle. The villa's orientation was set so that Hans Lollick Island was the focal point, and the suite wings were splayed so the island would be centered in the main window of each bedroom. The angled floor-plan and large 40x18 pool design provides for down-island views across the infinity pool without railing obstructions. The villa has a unique angular symmetrical floor plan that optimizes central living and entertaining.
